Coastal Carolina Athletics Celebrates Cari Rosiek's More Than 20 Years of Service to the Chanticleers

CONWAY, S.C. –- For more than two decades, Coastal Carolina Athletics has been home to Cari Rosiek.
From wearing the teal and bronze as a student-athlete to serving as one of the department's longest-tenured administrators, Rosiek has devoted more than 20 years to the Chanticleers, leaving an enduring impact on Coastal Carolina Athletics and the student-athletes, coaches and staff she has served along the way.
As she begins a new chapter in her career with the Recreation and Sport Management program in the CMC College of Health and Human Performance at Coastal Carolina University, the Chanticleers celebrate Rosiek's remarkable service to the University and athletics department while looking forward to the continued impact she will make across campus. While Rosiek will make the formal move she will continue to positively impact Athletics with oversight of various students interning and interacting with the department.
"Cari's impact on Coastal Carolina Athletics is impossible to measure simply in years or titles," said Chance Miller. "She has dedicated a tremendous portion of her life to Athletics, first as a student-athlete and then as an administrator, and throughout that time she has always been focused on making Coastal better and creating opportunities for our student-athletes. We are incredibly thankful for everything Cari has given to Coastal Carolina Athletics, and we are excited that she will continue to be part of this University and make an impact in her new role."
Rosiek's Coastal Carolina story began as a student-athlete, when she played softball for the Chanticleers from 1996-99. A four-year letter winner, she helped lead Coastal to the 1998 Big South Conference Tournament championship and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance.
She started all 227 games of her career and remains among the program's all-time leaders in numerous single-season and career statistical categories. In 2011, Rosiek was inducted into the University's George F. "Buddy" Sasser Hall of Fame alongside her former coach, Jess Dannelly.
After graduating from Coastal Carolina in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in physical education, Rosiek began her professional career and returned to her alma mater in 2003 as the athletic events coordinator.
What began as a return to Coastal ultimately became a more than two-decade career dedicated to serving the Chanticleers.
Since 2008, Rosiek has served as Coastal Carolina's Senior Woman Administrator and associate athletics director for student-athlete enhancement. Over the course of her administrative career, she has been the primary administrator for numerous Chanticleer programs, including men's and women's cross country, men's and women's track and field, women's tennis, women's golf, women's lacrosse, women's soccer, softball, women's indoor track and field, women's basketball, and women's indoor and beach volleyball.
Her responsibilities have extended well beyond sport administration. Rosiek has served as the athletics department's Title IX representative and has been deeply involved in conference and national governance, including service on the Sun Belt Conference Strategic Plan Steering Committee, the Sun Belt Conference women's golf coaches committee, and the NCAA Division I Volleyball Selection Committee. She also served as the Sun Belt Conference volleyball chair in 2017-18.
Earlier in her career, Rosiek served on numerous Big South Conference committees, including as chair of the softball, volleyball and lacrosse sports committees, while also serving on the conference's championships and graduate fellowship committees.
Rosiek earned her Master of Science degree in sport management from Coastal Carolina in May 2023, further adding to a professional journey that has remained closely connected to the University she first represented as a student-athlete.
