Coastal Carolina to Host Watch Party for Season Opener Against West Virginia

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina Athletics will host an official watch party at Ole Smoky Distillery at Broadway at the Beach on Saturday, Sept. 5, as the Chanticleers open the 2026 football season against West Virginia.
Kickoff between Coastal Carolina and West Virginia is set for noon from Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown, W.Va. Fans unable to make the trip can cheer on the Chanticleers at Ole Smoky, which features some of the largest indoor and outdoor LED screens in the Myrtle Beach area.
"There's nothing like the excitement surrounding the first game of a new football season, and we want Teal Nation to experience that together," said Chance Miller, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and University Recreation. "While our team is in Morgantown taking on West Virginia, this watch party gives our fans here at home a great place to wear teal, cheer on the Chants and enjoy a Coastal Carolina game-day atmosphere at Broadway at the Beach."
Chauncey and members of the Coastal Carolina Dance Team will be on hand for the watch party, with Coastal Carolina raffle prizes available throughout the game. Fans wearing teal will also receive 10 percent off food and Ole Smoky merchandise throughout the watch party.
"With our brand-new Myrtle Beach location opening just a few months ago, partnering with Teal Nation and its passionate fan base made perfect sense," said Chris Sobota, General Manager at Ole Smoky Distillery. "We're excited to host this kickoff watch party and make Ole Smoky a home for Teal Nation during away games. With some of the largest screens and a spacious outdoor area, we're looking forward to providing a great atmosphere for Coastal Carolina fans to watch the Chants."
Ole Smoky's pet-friendly outdoor area will also be open for fans looking to enjoy the game outside.
Coastal Carolina opens the 2026 season against West Virginia on Saturday, Sept. 5, at noon in Morgantown, W.Va.
