CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team defeated Queens 2-0 on Thursday evening at the CCU Soccer Complex.

With the win, Coastal improves to 6-2-1 on the season, while head coach Pete Cuadrado earned his 200th career win.
The Chants took the lead in the 40th minute when Elinor Guest headed in a corner kick from Kamden Pierce to make the score 1-0.
At the half, Coastal held an 11-0 advantage in shots.
Coastal added an insurance goal in the 78th minute when Breckynn Pugh scored her second of the season off assists from Sammy Schulze and Olivia Goretski.
The Chants recorded a season-high 23 shots in the match and led 12-6 in corner kicks.
Coastal will open Sun Belt Conference play against Louisiana on Sept. 20. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
