LAFAYETTE, La. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team fell to the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, 3-2, in its Sun Belt Conference opener on Sunday afternoon.

With the loss, Coastal falls to 6-3-1 on the season.
The Ragin' Cajuns took an early lead in the 10th minute when Maiya Clark found the net off assists from Miku Kurihara and Carson Glenn.
The Chants responded 10 minutes later when Olivia Lawrence bagged her third goal of the season to level the match at 1-1.
Coastal took the lead in the 28th minute when Camryn McKee netted her first goal of the year off an assist from Kamden Pierce.
Louisiana leveled the match in the 65th minute when Kurihara capitalized on a penalty kick to make it 2-2.
The Ragin' Cajuns pushed back in front in the 68th minute when Glenn scored off an assist from Clark.
The Chants forced saves in the 75th and 88th minutes but couldn't break through.
Coastal will return to Conway to face South Alabama on Sept. 23 at 6 p.m.
