CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina continues its nonconference schedule Saturday when the Chanticleers travel to Newark, Del., to face Delaware at Delaware Stadium. Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m. ET, with the game airing nationally on CBS Sports Network.
Both teams enter the first meeting between the programs with 1-1 records. Coastal is coming off a 45-7 victory over Fordham, while Delaware returns home following a 35-26 loss at Vanderbilt.

EARLY RISERS: Saturday's 11:30 a.m. ET kickoff will be the second-earliest in Coastal Carolina history and the earliest regular-season and road kickoff in program history. The only earlier start came against UTSA in the 2024 Myrtle Beach Bowl, which kicked off at 11 a.m. ET and was classified as a neutral-site contest.
FIRST-TIME FOES: Coastal Carolina and Delaware will meet for the first time. Fordham and Delaware are consecutive first-time opponents for the Chanticleers, who defeated the Rams 45-7 last Saturday.
MIRROR IMAGE: Coastal and Delaware have each gained exactly 885 yards through two games, an average of 442.5 yards per contest. The Chants have rushed for 303 yards and passed for 582, while the Blue Hens have rushed for 210 and passed for 675.
SIX SCORES, ZERO PICKS: Deuce Bailey has thrown three touchdown passes without an interception in each of Coastal's first two games. He leads the Sun Belt with 576 passing yards and is averaging 288.0 yards per game.
ONE OF SEVEN: Coastal enters Week 3 as one of seven FBS teams with at least six touchdown passes and no interceptions, joining Georgia, Pittsburgh, Missouri, Mississippi State, Penn State and Notre Dame.
SPREADING THE ROCK: Colton Hinton, Robby Washington and Clayton Coppock caught touchdown passes against Fordham. The trio has combined for 16 receptions, 366 yards and all six of Coastal's receiving touchdowns this season.
HINTON HITS 100: Hinton recorded three receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown against Fordham. He became Coastal's first 100-yard receiver since Jameson Tucker reached the mark at App State last season.
KICKING INTO THE BOOKS: Nico Cavanillas Alti set a Coastal Carolina record with a 56-yard field goal against Fordham, surpassing Massimo Biscardi's previous mark of 53 yards set in 2019. The kick is the longest by a Sun Belt player and tied for the fourth-longest in the FBS this season.
NO FLY ZONE: Coastal ranks ninth nationally in passing defense, allowing 116.5 yards per game. The Chanticleers have held their first two opponents to 20 combined completions while recording three interceptions.
GIVE ME THAT: The Chanticleers rank ninth nationally with five takeaways, including three interceptions and two fumble recoveries. Coastal has already forced one-third of its 2025 season total of 15 turnovers.
SCOUTING THE BLUE HENS: Delaware opened the season with a 42-7 victory over Merrimack before falling 35-26 at Vanderbilt. Quarterback Nick Minicucci has passed for 512 yards and three touchdowns, while Jo'Nathan Silver leads the rushing attack with 128 yards. Marquis Lofton has seven receptions for 206 yards and one touchdown.
