CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina men's golf returns to action Monday when the Chanticleers open play at the Bryan Bros Collegiate at Solina Golf Club in West Columbia, S.C.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament will feature 36 holes Monday followed by the final 18 holes Tuesday. Coastal will begin play from the No. 10 tee at 9 a.m. ET Monday, with the Chanticleers' five golfers teeing off in 10-minute intervals through 9:40 a.m.
Harrison James will lead off the Coastal lineup at 9 a.m., followed by Lucas Arntsen at 9:10, Waymon Thomas at 9:20, Drew Sykes at 9:30 and Jack Lee at 9:40.
The Chanticleers are part of a 16-team field that also includes Arkansas, Chattanooga, Clemson, College of Charleston, Liberty, LSU, Louisville, Mercer, Michigan, Ole Miss, North Florida, South Carolina, UAB, Winthrop and Wofford.
Coastal enters its third tournament of the fall after tying for fifth at last week's Highlands Invitational in Westchester, Ill. The Chanticleers carded rounds of 288, 292 and 294 to finish the 54-hole event at 10-over 874.
Lee, Sykes and Arntsen led Coastal at the Highlands Invitational, with all three tying for 15th at 2-over 218. Lee closed with a 2-under 70, while Sykes and Arntsen each shot 73 in the final round.
The Chanticleers opened the season by winning the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate at Grande Dunes Resort Club, finishing at 29-under 835 to win by nine strokes.
Lee and Sykes shared individual medalist honors at 12-under 204. The 29-under team total was the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history. Lee earned medalist honors at the event for the second consecutive year, while Sykes fired a final-round 66 to earn a share of the individual title.
This week's tournament marks the second edition of the Bryan Bros Collegiate. LSU captured last year's team championship at 35-under, while Clemson finished third.
