CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina Athletics will introduce a reimagined Teal Town and Chant Walk this fall, bringing a new location and an enhanced experience to two of Teal Nation's signature pregame traditions.
Beginning with the Chanticleers' home opener against Fordham on Saturday, Sept. 12, Teal Town will relocate adjacent to Coastal Carolina's new student tailgate area south of Brooks Stadium next to the Indoor Facility, creating a central gathering place for students, alumni and fans before kickoff.
The reimagined Teal Town will feature a large beverage tent, various food offerings and merchandise vendors. Designed to be a family-friendly destination, Teal Town will also include a new Kids Zone with inflatables and activities for children. Coastal Carolina teams and coaches will make appearances throughout the season.
Teal Town will also serve as the new home of the Chanticleer Sports Network pregame radio show, hosted by Joe Catenacci, allowing fans to follow the latest game-day coverage while enjoying the festivities.
The new location will serve as the starting point for the reimagined Chant Walk, which will begin 2.5 hours prior to kickoff. The Chanticleers will make their way from the new University Boulevard through Teal Town and the new student tailgate area before passing the new premium tailgate area between the Indoor Facility and Brooks Stadium. The route will then continue through the front of Lot QQ, adjacent to the east side of Brooks Stadium, before the team enters the stadium through Gate 1.
The CCU Band, Cheer and Dance squads will accompany the team and lead the way along the route. Fans are encouraged to line the path and cheer on the Chants as they head to battle.
"We're always looking for ways to enhance the game-day experience for Teal Nation, and we believe the reimagined Teal Town and Chant Walk will create a heightened game-day atmosphere with increased energy leading up to kickoff," said Chance Miller, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and University Recreation. "We want our fans and students to have a fun place to welcome our team and enjoy everything that makes game day at Coastal Carolina special."
A new game-day map highlighting Teal Town, the new student tailgate area, the new premium tailgate area and the new Chant Walk route will be available through Coastal Carolina Athletics' digital platforms and linked. SEE MAP HERE.
Coastal Carolina opens its 2026 home schedule against Fordham on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Brooks Stadium. The Chant Walk will begin at 5 p.m.
