Biography

Graduated from Wright State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology in May 2020.


2021 (Graduate Student)

  • Saw action in 17 games, starting three games on the mound for the Chants
  • Went 1-2 overall on the year with a 5.23 ERA 
  • Also recorded two saves on the year
  • Struck out 29 batters over 32.2 innings pitched
  • Recorded a save in the 8-6 win over Georgia Southern (April 18), striking out three batters over 2.0-scoreless innings pitched
  • Also picked up the save in the 2-0 shutout win at Liberty (April 24), throwing 2.0-scoreless innings out of the bullpen
  • Earned the win by throwing 4.0-scoreless innings and struck out three out of the bullpen in the 8-4 road win at Georgia State (May 1)
  • Fanned a season-high four batters twice - in his first career start as a Chant on opening weekend versus Duke (Feb. 21) and again in the midweek win over the College of Charleston (March 23)
  • Also had three strikeouts in wins at UNCW (April 14), versus Georgia Southern (April 18), at Georgia State (May 1), and in the road loss at South Alabama (May 15)
  • Logged a season-high 5.0 innings at South Alabama (May 15)
  • Both of his losses on the season came versus South Alabama, the Sun Belt Champions

2020 (Redshirt Junior) at Wright State

  • Returned from injury to appear in four games on the mound, starting all four contests
  • Was 0-3 with a 6.20 ERA with road starts at No. 6 Mississippi State, Western Kentucky, No. 20 Auburn, and No. 11 Tennessee
  • Threw 20.1 innings on the season
  • Struck out 11 batters over his four appearances
  • Fanned five batters in 5.0 innings at Western Kentucky (Feb. 21)
  • Also struck out three hitters in 5.1 innings at Mississippi State (Feb. 14) and 5.0 innings at Tennessee (March 6)
  • Named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll


2019 (Junior) at Wright State

  • Received a medical redshirt
  • Pitched in four games, making two starts before missing the rest of the season due to an injury
  • Went 0-1 with one save over 9.0 innings of work
  • Fanned 12 batters in just 9.0 innings, while walking six hitters
  • Threw a season-high 5.0 innings and struck out seven batters in WSU's win at Oklahoma State (Feb. 24)
  • Raiders finished 42-17 and won the program's sixth Horizon League regular-season title since 2010


2018 (Sophomore) at Wright State

  • Pitched in 16 games, making eight starts on the mound
  • Totaled 51.0 innings of work
  • Went 5-1 with one save and a 3.35 ERA on the season
  • Struck out 24 hitters
  • Held opponents to a .233 batting average on the year
  • Threw a career-high 7.0 innings in wins at Northern Kentucky (March 30) and at UIC (April 7)
  • Struck out a season-high six batters in the home win over Oakland (March 18)
  • Picked up the save by throwing 3.1-scoreless innings out of the bullpen in the 7-2 win at UT Arlington (March 4)
  • Won five-straight games from March 11-April 7 - picking up victories over Hartford, Oakland, Milwaukee, Northern Kentucky, and UIC
  • Over that five-game winning streak, he had four quality starts and pitched 6.0 innings or more in each contest


2017 (Freshman) at Wright State

  • Appeared in nine games out of the bullpen as a freshman for the Raiders
  • Went 0-1 with a 6.52 ERA
  • Struck out six batters over 9.2 innings of work
  • Pitched 1.0 inning in the 7-0 shutout win over Valparaiso (March 19)
  • Also threw 2.0 innings in the 14-0 shutout win over UT Martin (March 13)


High School

  • Lettered for three years for the Warhawks at Central High School
  • Was a third-team all-state pick in 2015 as a junior
  • A two-time All-Ohio Capital Conference and all-district selection
  • Hit .300 and recorded 80 strikeouts in 53.1 innings on the mound as a senior
  • Also lettered in football for two years, earning first-team All-OCC honors and all-district special mention recognition
  • Received scholar-athlete honors all four years
