2011 (Fr.): Played in 41 games, getting 31 starts ... Was 3-for-6 with three RBI as a pinch hitter with a single, double and home run (walk off) ... Hit a walk-off home run on Feb. 20 in a 6-5 win over Virginia Tech ... After serving as the starting DH in the game before versus Indiana -- game one of a mixed doubleheader that lasted 16 innings and going 1-for-6 with a walk -- came off the bench as a pinch hitter versus Virginia Tech ... After K.J. McAllister drew a walk with two outs, Martin launched a 0-0 fastball over the left-field wall for the victory ... Hit a double and scored in the win at College of Charleston ... Came off the bench in the top of the ninth at The Citadel to pinch hit with CCU down one and one out ... Delivered a single and would help Coastal pull out the 6-5 come-from-behind win, scoring what was the tying run on Tommy La Stella[apos]s two-run double ... Stayed hot the next game, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored in the Friday win at UNC Asheville ... Came off the bench to go 1-for-2 with a double and run scored at North Carolina ... In the UNC Wilmington home win, helped Gary Gilmore claim his 900th career win by going 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and a walk ... Parlayed a strong finish in the regular season to start all four games of the Big South Tournament at third ... In game one, went 1-for-2 with three RBI and two runs scores, hitting a monster home run that rattled off the top of the light tower in left field ... Prior to Coastal Carolina: Named honorable mention All-American by Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball ... Selected 6A All-State by the Alabama Sports Writers Association, as well as earning All-Metro and All-Shelby County ... Helped Pelham to a #1 state and national rank during a 29-game winning streak, hitting .364 for the season with nine home runs and 44 RBI while going 7-0 with a save and 2.64 ERA, striking out 58 in 47.2 innings pitched on the mound ... Hit .318 with five home runs and 24 RBI his junior season ... Also had a 3-1 record with a 1.19 ERA on the mound for the Panthers ... Was an Alabama Baseball Coaches Association All-Star selection in 2009 and helped Pelham to a #22 ranking in the country by Baseball America March 31, 2009 ... Was an All-Metro Honorable Mention his sophomore season ... Hit .373 with 17 RBI and had a 3-0 record with a 2.17 ERA in 2008 ... Also played quarterback in football at Pelham ... Was named to the Birmingham News Preseason All-Metro Football Team in 2009 ... Was an Honor Roll student and the Birmingham News Scholar-Athlete of the Week Nov. 4, 2009.
