Brad Queen joined Coastal Carolina football staff as the assistant director for football operations in the summer of 2019 after serving as the track operations coordinator at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. He transitioned to his current role as director of operations and leadership in January 2020.
Prior to his time at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Queen spent three seasons with the UNC Charlotte football program where he worked on both sides of the ball, starting as a graduate assistant in 2016 with the offensive line. In 2017 the season, Queen moved to the defensive line as an analyst before serving as the defensive tackles coach in 2018.
Queen moved to Charlotte after four seasons at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Ky.
In 2015, Queen worked directly with the EKU football student-athletes, providing mentoring and ensuring the student-athletes adhered to the program goals and policies regarding character, leadership, and development. Queen also handled video responsibilities and assisted with the operations department for the Colonels.
Before EKU, Queen served two years as the defensive line coach at Kentucky Christian University.
Queen concluded his collegiate playing career at KCU where he earned first-team Mid-South All-Conference accolades as a senior defensive lineman in 2009. He also played two years of football at Morehead State University in 2005 and 2006.
Queen graduated from Kentucky Christian in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree and completed his master’s degree in sports administration from Eastern Kentucky University.
A native of Greenup, Kentucky, Queen and his wife Clerrinda have one daughter, Caroline.
