Biography
2019-20 (SENIOR):
* Was one of four players to see action in all 33 games
* Had the second most starts on the team with 32
* Averaged 11.5 points per game, shooting over 51 percent from the field and almost 80 percent at the free throw line
* Led the team in rebounding averaging 7.2 per game
* Was also the team leader in blocks (25) and was second in steals (39)
* Was tied with teammate DeVante' Jones with seven double-doubles
* Finished third in the Sun Belt in rebounding; seventh in free throw percentage; and third in offensive rebounds
* Reached double-digits in scoring 24 times
* Scored a career-high 20 points at Georgia Southern (02/15/20); scored 19 points in a win at South Alabama (12/21/19) and at Louisiana (03/03/20)
* Had career-highs in rebounds with 13 against Arkansas State (01/18/20) and at Georgia Southern (02/13/20)
2018-19 (JUNIOR):
* Tommy was one of five players to see action in all 34 games last season, starting eight
* Averaged 7.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game while averaging 18.3 minutes per game
* Shot 48 percent from the field and 70 percent at the free throw line
* He reached double-digits 12 times during the season and averaged just over 11 points per game in the games he started
* Scored his season-high 16 points in CCU’s CBI win at West Virginia (03/25/19)
* Scored 15 points at Louisiana Monroe (03/14/19) and against Georgia State (02/23/19)
* Had season-highs in rebounds with eight at Louisiana Monroe (03/14/19) and against Georgia State (02/23/19)
* Was also fifth on the team with 30 steals.
AT COLLEGE OF SOUTHERN IDAHO:
* A junior college transfer coming to CCU after spending two seasons at the College of Southern Idaho
* He averaged over 10 points and seven rebounds per game for the NJCAA National Championship Runners Up
* Finished with 11 points, five rebounds and two steals in the national championship game
* Was named to the NJCAA National Tournament All-Tournament Team
* For the season he shot 45 percent from the field and over 70 percent at the free throw line
IN HIGH SCHOOL:
* Burton is from Montgomery, Ala., where he led St. Jude High School to back-to-back state championships in 2014 and 2015
* Following his junior season he transferred to Lee High School where he led the Generals to the state championship tournament during his senior season (2016).
