Todd Ohlmeyer enters his first season as assistant men’s golf coach at Coastal Carolina University.
Prior to Coastal, Ohlmeyer was an assistant coach to both the men’s and women’s golf teams at Belmont Abbey College. He assisted with the instruction of both teams as well as helped develop an alumni database and a new fundraising program.
Ohlmeyer carries an array of golf experience. He has worked with the American Cancer Society as the face of the program at all golf events in the Carolinas since 2005.
Meanwhile from 2000-03, Ohlmeyer served as a golf pro on the Golden Bear Tour, the Development of Players Tour, Pro Tour Hawaii, and the Tight Lies Tour.
Additionally, he caddied for Debbie Koyama on the LPGA Tour and Michael Walton on the Nationwide Tour.
In 1997, he joined the staff of ESPN Regional Television as a production assistant and then as operations coordinator in 1999. Ohlmeyer prepared the operational budget of each golf telecast, negotiated weekly and yearly contracts with equipment vendors and researched and wrote video features on PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, and Champions TOUR players.
In addition to his golf background, Ohlmeyer has experience in hockey working with the Charlotte Checkers from 2003-05. There he began as a ticket account manager and worked his way to vice president of ticket sales.
Ohlmeyer graduated from Pepperdine University with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with an emphasis on Sport Management/Administration in 1997.
A two-time Connecticut All-State Golf selection, Ohlmeyer was a member of the men’s golf team and lettered in each of his years and was part of Pepperdine’s 1997 Division I National Championship team.
In November 2007, he was inducted into the Pepperdine University Hall of Fame.
Ohlmeyer and his wife Kati have one son, Ian.
