• Averaged just over 37 strokes per nine holes his junior and senior years
• Won eight junior tournaments and finished in the top-20 in over 25 events
• Won the S.C. Junior Fall Challenge and finished second at the George Holiday Junior tournament with a 138, 6-under par
• Was the youngest finisher at the 2001 S.C. Amateur at Hilton Head
