Jakub is majoring in Business Finance. He posted a 9-2 singles record last season to improve to 50-23 during his career. He also has a 40-25 doubles record at CCU. Jakub is also 13-4 in singles against Big South Conference opposition. He earned Big South Player of the Year and singles and doubles All-Conference honors in 2000. The honors did not come his way as a junior as an injury prevented Jakub from playing much of the Conference schedule. The two-time team MVP was also named to the 2000 Big South All-Academic Team. Before leaving his homeland, Jakub was the 39th ranked open player in Poland and was the Junior Champion of Southern Poland from 1994 to 1997.
