CONWAY, S.C. — For the second time this season, the College of Charleston rolled past the Lady Chanticleers, defeating Coastal 3-0 Wednesday night at Kimbel Arena.

Sara Davis and Alyson Van Cleave racked up 14 kills each for the Cougars (13-2) as the team hit a robust .314 for the match, winning 30-25, 30-20 and 30-20, as Mary Sabatino tallied 51 assists.

The Lady Chants (4-11) made runs in each game after falling behind early, but Charleston dominated at the net, holding Coastal's top two players, Sarah Bennett and Katie Knutson, to a combined 14 kills as the team hit .111 for the match.

Coastal returns to action this Sunday, when it hosts Birmingham Southern at 2:00 pm.
