Men's Soccer Named Academic All-American Team

CONWAY, SC — Coastal Carolina University's men's soccer program has been named an Academic All-American Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
The Chanticleers posted a 3.23 team grade point average for the fall 2000 semester. Coastal Carolina ranks second on the 13-team list of Academic All-American programs that earned a grade point average of 3.00 or higher. The University of Pennsylvania topped the list with a 3.28 GPA, followed by Coastal Carolina and the University of Notre Dame (3.22).
Other programs earning the honor were Davidson College (3.14), Duquesne University (3.14), Bucknell University (3.13), the University of Akron (3.13), Bowling Green State University (3.12), Georgetown University (3.09), the University of Dayton (3.09), the University of South Carolina (3.07), Western Kentucky University (3.04), and Southwest Missouri State University (3.02).
