Men's Soccer Defeats Davidson, 1-0 CONWAY, S.C. – The 20th-ranked Coastal Carolina men’s soccer team downed Davidson by a score of 1-0 Tuesday night courtesy of a goal from Boyzzz Khumalo, assisted by Joseph Ngwenya. The victory moves the Chants to 2-0 on the season.
The Wildcats tried for 10 shots in the match, while Coastal totaled eight shots. The goal was netted after Khumalo played a pass from Ngwenya to the right of the goalkeeper, sending the ball into the far right corner of the net at the 28-minute mark of the first half.
Coastal keeper Andy Paxton captured another win and shutout, grabbing two saves, while Davidson keeper Bart Creasman recorded three saves. The Wildcats drop to 1-1 with the loss.
The Chants’ season continues as they travel to Boca Raton, Florida Saturday to take on Florida Atlantic at 7:30 p.m.
