The Citadel (1-3) will be facing its third Big South opponent of the season Saturday when the Bulldogs face Coastal Carolina. The Bulldogs opened the season 0-3, but picked up their first win of the season Tuesday with a 71-63 win over High Point. Earlier in the year, The Citadel lost on the road at Charleston Southern 68-61 on Nov. 16 and is 1-1 against the Big South so far this year. Each team has won four games in the all-time series that dates back to the 1979-80 season. The Chants, however, have won four of the last six meetings between the two schools.
Saturday's game will be the first meeting between Coastal Carolina and The Citadel since the 2001-02 season. In that game, the Bulldogs earned a 74-62 home win over the Chants. Coastal is 2-1 all-time at home against The Citadel.
