Leo Christofides would win the first set, but dropped the second set 6-3 to Alex Christ. Playing in the No. 2 position, Christofides battled back to win the third set 6-4 and give Coastal a 4-3 win and its 10th victory against in-state foe Furman.

"I am so proud of these guys for their effort today," said head coach Chris Powers. "Furman put us on the ropes and we refused to go down. This is a great win for our tennis program."
