CONWAY - The No. 9/10 Coastal Carolina University men's soccer team played No. 30/rv Radford to a 0-0 draw in Big South Conference action Halloween evening at the CCU Soccer Stadium.

The draw moves the Chanticleers' record to 12-1-2 overall and 6-1-1 in Big South play. The Highlanders go to 12-2-2 and 7-1-1 against league competition. Radford clinches at least a share of the 2015 Big South regular season championship, while Coastal can also claim a share with a win in its final conference game.

The match proved to be a defensive affair as neither team found much room to work in the attacking third. The sides each totaled eight shot attempts, including two shots on goal each.

Coastal's best scoring opportunity of the match came off the head of Tommy Gudmundsson. The sophomore centerback attempted a header off a corner kick; however, the shot was sent directly into the chest of RU's Pouseu Blanco.

Jakob Standsater had Radford's best look on goal in the 18th minute, but Coastal's Pina deflected the ball high and collected the rebound before the ball crossed the goal line.

The Chants finished regulation with a furious attack, but Radford routinely cut down dangerous crosses and ball into the box. The overtime sessions were centered in the midfield with the only shot being Ryan Willoughby's header wide of the goal frame.

Both Coastal's Fernando Pina and Radford's Aitor Pouseu Blanco finished with a pair of saves.

Coastal wraps up Big South Conference play on Wednesday at High Point. The match, which is scheduled for 7 p.m., will be carried live on the Big South Network.
