WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team, playing its second match in as many days in Virginia, fell 6-1 Sunday playing indoors at William & Mary.

The loss follows Coastal's season-opening win at Richmond at Saturday, and moves the Chants' record to 1-1 after the first weekend of play.

William & Mary grabbed the doubles point with wins on the third and second court.

W&M's Christian Cargill/Damon Niquet topped Luiz Faria and Pedro Leme 6-3 at No.3, and Addison Appleby/Lars de Boer clinched the point with a 6-3 win over Jabor Al-Mutawa and Sebastian Schneider at No. 2.

Vuk Velickovic and Rick Timmerman won the No. 1 doubles match.

W&M then won three of the first four singles matches to seal the match. Aidan Talcott and de Boer won on the fifth and fourth courts, respectively, and Niquet picked up the match-winning point on court No. 6.

Al-Mutawa earned Coastal's lone point of the match, defeating Appleby 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2.

Coastal makes its 2016 home debut on Tuesday when the Chants host Francis Marion for a 2 p.m. match at the Coastal Carolina Tennis Complex.
