Leah Hardeman led CCU with four kills in the set, while Savovic, Bishop and Legros each put down a trio of shots. Kate Federico served Coastal to an early 8-3 lead, and 7-4 Chanticleer run later in the set pushed the advantage to a commanding 19-8 lead.
Georgia State responded by taking a 7-3 lead to start the middle frame and force Coastal into an early timeout. Coming out the break, however, the Chants went on an 11-3 tear to overtake the lead. Lulic led the charge as the sophomore middle blocker put down four kills and stuffed a pair of Panther shots in the set.
Coastal returned to a .400 hitting percentage in the third set as the Chants led the frame from start to finish. Holding a slim 9-8 advantage, Coastal strung together a 10-1 to take firm control of the game. From there, a series of five Georgia State errors helped Coastal close the match.
Coastal returns to the HTC Center Friday, Nov. 11 to take on Troy at 6 p.m. before closing out the regular season on Sunday against South Alabama.
