RADFORD, Va. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team continued its roll through the Big South Conference on Saturday as the Chants recorded a 6-1 win over Radford at the RU Tennis Complex.

Coastal's first win at Radford since 1995 improves the Chants to 14-3, 4-0. The Highlanders, meanwhile, remain winless on the season at 0-10, 0-3.

"It was great to finally get a win here," said Chris Powers, who earned his first win at Radford as the Chants' head coach. "Without a doubt, this was the toughest adjustment for us in the Big South this season, and we were able to battle through a slow start in singles to get the win. I am really proud of this one, and the team played with focus and composure today."

Coastal came out strong in doubles, sweeping Radford on all three courts.

Pedro Leme and Vuk Velickovic started the round with a 6-2 win over Janken Thoen and Alexandros Caldwell on the first court. Luiz Faria and Rick Timmerman (No. 3), and Jabor Al-Mutawa and Sebastian Schneider (No. 2) followed with identical 6-3 victories to complete the sweep.

In singles, Velickovic (No. 2) and Migliano (No. 5) quickly put Coastal in front 3-0 as the two recorded the only straight-sets wins of the day. Schneider ensured the win for Coastlal with a three-set win over Samuel Taylor at No. 4.

Nic Planchard (No. 6) and Al-Mutawa (No. 1) provided the final points for the Chants as the two each won their respective matches in three sets.

Michiel Meekers tallied the lone point of the day for the Highlanders, topping Leme in three sets at No. 3.

Coastal's four-game road swing continues on Tuesday as the unbeaten Chants head to Campbell for a 2 p.m. match.
