CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team won a rare night match over James Madison, 5-2, in a contest played under the lights at the Stevens Tennis Complex.

Coastal (6-6) captured the opening doubles point, and four of the six singles points.

The doubles point was won on the second and third courts. Coastal's third pairing of Sebastian Schneider and Zak Talic won 6-2, while the second pairing of Jose Ortega and Francesco Migliano prevailed 6-3.

The match on the top doubles court was unfinished with Vuk Velickovic and Luiz Faria leading 5-3.

Three of Coastal's four singles points were won in straight sets.

Velickovic won 6-4, 6-4 on the top court, followed by a 7-6, 6-3 win by Schneider at No. 4, and a 6-2, 6-2 victory by Ortega at No. 6.

Migliano defated Theophile Lanthiez in three sets at No. 3.

Damon Roberts (No. 2) and Brett Moorhead (No. 5) earned points for JMU.

Next up, Coastal dips back into Sun Belt Conference play against Georgia State on March 14.
