CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team suffered its first Sun Belt Conference loss of the season on Tuesday, falling 6-1 to #44 Georgia State at the Stevens Tennis Complex.

The Chants' overall record dips to 6-7 with the loss, while their conference record evens at 1-1. Georgia State, meanwhile, improves to 10-6, 2-1 with the win.

The Panthers took the doubles point to start, and won on five of the six singles courts.

Georgia State's first and second doubles pairings each won by a 6-3 margin to clinch the point. The match on the third court went unfinished with the GSU pair of Quentin Coulaud/Felipe Jaworksi leading 5-3.

Francesco Migliano provided Coastal's lone point of the match, defeating Coulaud 7-6, 6-1 on the fourth court.

Three of Georgia State's singles point were delivered in straight sets, including wins by Andrei Andrukhou (No. 2), Janni Koeke (No. 3) and Sebestian Acuna (No. 5).

Vuk Velickovic battled #114-ranked Zackery Kennedy to a third set, while Jose Ortega did the same with Jaworski at No. 6.

Coastal finishes its three-match home stand on Thursday with a 3 p.m. tilt against North Carolina Central.
