Final Stats

MACON, Ga. - The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team finished its weekend at the Mercer Beach Volleyball Tournament with a pair of 5-0 losses to Florida Gulf Coast and #17 Stetson on Saturday.

Coastal falls to 0-6 (0-4 ASUN) following Saturday's action.

In its opening match against FGCU, Coastal's top pairing of Carla Cahill and Dora Lulic came the closest to grabbing a point. The Chanticleer duo followed a 17-21 first-set loss with a 21-16 win in the second. FGCU's Mackenzie Allen and Amanda Carroll took the third set, 15-8, however, to finish off the point.

The remaining four courts were won in straight sets.

Coastal fell to the nationally ranked Hatters for the second day in a row, and were once again unable to produce a set win. The Chanticleers made a few lineup changes against the defending ASUN champs, with the second and third pairings, and fourth and fifth pairings, trading courts from the previous match.

Next up, the Chants travel to Jacksonville, Fla., to take on North Florida and Jacksonville in a pair of matches each, from April 6-7.
