Coastal Carolina's men's soccer team played the second exhibition match of the early season when UNC Charlotte visited the CCU Soccer Stadium.
 
It was a defensive battle between the old rivals as both teams continue to prepare for the 2018 season.
 
CCU was able to get everyone on the field in the exhibition match, including 13 first-year players.
 
CCU's offense continues to improve as the Chants got off a total of 15 shots in the action and the defense has shown vast improvement since the Chants opening exhibition last Sunday.

CCU has one more exhibition match, Sunday August 19 when they travel to Greensboro to face UNC Greensboro. The Sunday evening match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
 
CCU opens the season with back-to-back home matches; UCLA comes calling Friday Aug. 24 in a 7:30 p.m. showdown and Georgetown arrives two days later on Aug. 26. The two teams will begin the action at 7 p.m.
