GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer program has completed the exhibition part of the 2018 schedule with a road match at UNC Greensboro.
Weather played a role in the final preseason outing as the match was called midway through the second half due to inclement weather that moved into the area.
The three exhibition matches were very important to the Chanticleers as eight players from last season were playing with almost 20 new players on the roster.
The team showed strong leadership and growth during the three exhibition matches as the Chants are now ready to embark on a 2018 season which will begin at home where CCU will play its first two matches and eight of its first 11.
The regular season will begin with PAC-12 member UCLA making the cross-country trek to Conway to face the Chants at 7:30 p.m. on Friday Aug. 24. Two days later on Sunday Aug. 26, Georgetown comes to Conway to face CCU at 7 p.m.
