CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina volleyball team will look to improve on their undefeated record in Sun Belt Conference play this weekend as they travel to Arkansas to play Little Rock on Friday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. ET and Arkansas State on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

History versus Little Rock and Arkansas State

The Chanticleers are heading into Friday's match at Little Rock with an undefeated 3-0 all-time record.

A season ago in Conway, the two teams played a five-set match that included 42 ties and 20 lead changes. The Chants battled through 11 Little Rock blocks and 81 digs to pull out the win. Anett Nemeth had an 18-kill, 19-assist, and 18-dig triple-double performance in the 3-2 (23-25, 26-24, 25-23, 21-25, 15-12) win. Kyla Manning added 21 kills and 10 digs.

Against Arkansas State, the Chanticleers hold a 4-2 all-time series advantage.

Last season, the two teams split a pair of matches as Coastal Carolina won the regular-season meeting and the Red Wolves took the contest in Atlanta, Ga. at the 2018 Sun Belt Volleyball Championships.

On Oct. 5, 2018, CCU won in four sets, 3-1 (24-26, 25-22, 25-20, 25-21). Coastal's offensive attack was led by outside hitters of Nemeth (12 kills) and Manning (10 kills).

At the Sun Belt Championships (11/16/18), Arkansas State won the match in four sets, 3-1(25-17, 25-17, 22-25, 25-20), for their second-ever win over Coastal Carolina.

In the loss, CCU had three players with double-digit kills: Nemeth (18), Manning (13), and Ani Bozdeva (10), but it was the Arkansas State defense that proved to be the difference. The Red Wolves held the advantage at the net as they out-blocked Coastal 12-4. The Red Wolves also dug 61 balls compared to Coastal Carolina's 54.
