CONWAY – Coastal Carolina women's volleyball enters its second week of Sun Belt Conference play as they travel to Louisiana to take on the ULM Warhawks on Friday at 7 p.m. ET and then will visit Louisiana on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The Chanticleers hold a 3-0 all-time record against both the Warhawks and Ragin' Cajuns.
Coastal Carolina
The Chants are winners of their last two as they knocked off Georgia Southern last Friday in three sets, 3-0 (25-16, 25-7, 25-19), and Georgia State on Sunday afternoon in four, 3-1 (25-19, 23-25, 25-19, 25-14), to start Sun Belt Conference play.
CCU sophomore Annett Nemeth had 26 kills and 18 digs in the two matches to help move the Chants a 12-2 overall record and a tie for first place in the Sun Belt East division at 2-0.
Nemeth is vital in the Chants offense as she is ranked second in the conference with 4.83 points/set. The Pecel, Hungary native leads the Chants with 171 kills on the year while ranked third overall in the conference.
As a team, Coastal is ranked top five in the Sun Belt Conference in assists (11.72/set – 5th), kills (12.61/set – 4th), blocks (2.04/set – 2nd), and service aces (2.28 – 1st ).
ULM
The Warhawks have lost three straight matches and have an overall record of 9-8. ULM is tied for fourth place in the Sun Belt West division with a conference record of 0-2. The Warhawks have lost five of their 17 matches in straight sets.
Offensively, Monroe is led by Mikaela Worley who has 131 kills on the season and is fifth in the conference with 3.36 kills/set. Christie Alix ranks second in the conference with .368 hitting percentage on 152 attempts.
In their last meeting on September 30, 2018, the Chanticleers held the Warhawks to a .000 hitting percentage. Junior Ani Bozdeva was one of three CCU players with two blocks. The team had eight blocks in total for the 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-11) win.
Louisiana
The Ragin' Cajuns currently sit in third place in the Sun Belt West division as they have a 5-10 overall record and 1-1 in conference play. Louisiana has lost seven of their last eight matches but did pull out a four-set win (25-19, 18-25, 25-21, 25-16) versus UT-Arlington on Sunday at home.
Defensively, Tia Jade is sixth in the Sun Belt with .86 blocks/set (36) and Hannah Ramirez averages 4.63 digs/set (241) good for second in the conference.
In their last meeting Sept. 28, 2018, Coastal Carolina defeated Louisiana, 3-1 (25-16, 21-25, 25-23, 25-18) as senior Kyla Manning and Nemeth tallied 17 kills apiece, while Nemeth led all players in the match with 26 kills and Manning added 11 digs.
