Game Notes
CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team will be back on the pitch Saturday, Oct. 5 for a home match against William & Mary. The opening kick is set for 7 p.m.
Â
The Chants head into the match with a 4-4-1 record and will be looking to stop a two-game skid in which they have lost both games by identical 1-0 scores.
Â
The Tribe (2-4-2) are coming into the match going in a different direction. They opened the season going 0-4-2 in its first six matches, but have won their last two by the same 2-0 margins.
Â
The series between these two teams started back in 1992, but they have only met seven times on the pitch. The series is even 3-3-1 with CCU winning three of the past five meetings. They last met in 2018 a 2-0 Chanticleer road win in Norfolk, Va.
Â
This will be the third time the game has been played in Conway, where the Chants have a 1-0-1 record on their home field. William & Mary have won three of the four games in Norfolk, while the Chants have won the only neutral site game.
