CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team will be back in action when they host Howard University Sunday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m.
 
This is an important game in Sun Belt Conference action as three teams are tied at the top of the standings with 2-1 conference records while the other three teams are tied with 1-2 records in conference play.
 
Howard (5-9-1) comes into Conway as one of the teams tied at the top of the conference with a 2-1 record. They lost to Appalachian State, but since then has defeated Georgia State and Georgia Southern for their two conference wins.
 
The Chanticleers (6-7-2) are one of three teams with a 1-2 conference record with their lone conference win coming against Appalachian State.
 
The two teams first met back in 1993, a 3-1 victory by the Bison, and is the lone win for Howard in the series. Since then, the Chanticleers have won six consecutive games including two games last season. CCU defeated Howard 2-1 in Washington, D.C., during the regular season and picked up a late win over the Bison in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, again by a 2-1 final score.
 
Sunday's action will be the fifth time the two teams have met in Conway with the Chants holding a 3-1 record at the CCU Soccer Stadium. CCU is 2-0 at Howard and owns a 1-0 record on a neutral location.
