CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina men's basketball team will host Hampden-Sydney Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. It is the Chanticleers' second game of the season and is part of a double-header which will see the women host the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff at 5 p.m.

The Chants will be looking for their first win of the season after a close loss to Campbell, 75-74, in the season-opener last Tuesday night.

The game will be the season-opener for Hampden-Sydney who enters the game coming off a season which saw them go 4-19 overall in 2018-19 and it is also the first time CCU and Hampden-Sydney have met on the hardcourt.

CCU's
Keishawn Brewton started his Coastal career with a 24-point performance to lead CCU's offense.
Tyrell Gumbs-Frater continued his production he showed last season with 21 points, with 12 of those coming on four three-point field goals.

Garrick Green was also in a CCU uniform for the first time and while he only scored two points, he did show his rebounding prowess with a game-high 10 rebounds.
Ebrima Dibba continued his solid performance with a seven-point, four rebound, and four assist performance filling in at point guard for injured starter and preseason All-Sun Belt pick
DeVante Jones.

CCU will look to stay impressive in its offensive production as it shot almost 50 percent from the field. The difference in the one-point loss, was the Chants also shot 50 percent (8-of-16) at the free throw line, while the visiting Camels hit all 15 of its attempts.

The Tigers are returning six players from last year's team including senior and leading scorer Chaise Johnson. He averaged over 11 points per game while center Jake Hahn also returns after averaging 7.5 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.
