CONWAY – Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse will host the Campbell Camels Wednesday, Feb. 20 inside the friendly confines of Brooks Stadium in Conway.
Coastal owns an all-time record of 5-1 against former Big South opponent Campbell. The last time these two played each other CCU came out with a 14-9 win in Buies Creek, N.C.
For the season the Chanticleers are 1-1, with the last game an 18-5 defeat at the hands of the No. 7-ranked Syracuse Orange of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The Chants was led by seniors
Haley Kyger (3 goals),
Haley Alexander (1 goal) and sophomore
Jordan Harrell (1 goal) on offense and on defense by senior goalkeeper
Harley Barrett (4 saves), and juniors
Megan Kilpatrick (1 assist and 2 groundballs),
Emily D'Orsaneo (2 caused turnovers and 3 groundballs).
The Camels arrive with an 0-2 record averaging 6.5 goals per game while giving up an average of 15 goals to their opponents. The CU offense is paced by Annie Pazulski, Sarah Paul, Jennifer Anuszewski and Morgan Hollenbeck each tallying two goals apiece. On the defensive side, Lexie Patton has played all 120:00 minutes of the Camels matches making 25 saves in the two losses.
