CONWAY – The spring golf season continues for Coastal Carolina's women's golf program as they travel to Augusta, Ga., to participate in the Valspar Augusta Invitational. The two-day event is slated for Saturday and Sunday, March 16-17 at the historic Forest Hills Golf Club. The course measures 6,228 yards (Par 72) and will be hosted by Augusta University.
The Chanticleers will join 11 other programs in the invite which include Central Arkansas, Charlotte, Daytona State College, Memphis, Princeton, Purdue, South Florida, Texas Tech, Toledo, East Tennessee State and host Augusta.
CCU looks to continue its impressive run this spring building on a win and a third place finish in its first two spring outings.
The Chants are led by senior Marie Lunackova and her 74.15 strokes per round average. Tiffany Arafi enters the event with a 74.50 average and Frantiska Lunackova is averaging 74.60. Jenjira Jinangkul has a 74.85 average and Stephanie Henning has a 75.80 average heading into this weekend's action.
