WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team suffered a 6-0 loss at #2 Wake Forest Saturday afternoon at the WF Tennis Complex.
 
The Chanticleers fall to 9-4 overall as they saw their five-match win streak come to an end with the loss.
 
Wake Forest swept the doubles points, but the Chants put up a good showing on the first and second courts. Joel Popov and Zak Talic fell 7-5 to Melio Efstathiou and Julian Zlobinsky on court one. The second court went to Morgan Dill and Yuvai Solomon, 7-6, over Pyry Hyrkkonen and Luiz Faria.
 
Popov fell to #60 Efstathiou at No. 3 to give Wake Forest a 2-0 lead. Rrezart Cungu defeated Faria at No. 1 for the Demon Deacons' third point. The match was clinched by Banthia at No. 2 with a straight-sets win over Talic.
 
Coastal remains on the road for a Monday match at Elon at 2:30 p.m. ET.
