CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team won both of Saturday's matches at the Stevens Tennis Complex in dominating fashion, blanking Toledo 7-0 before defeating North Carolina A&T 6-1 in the nightcap.
 
The pair of wins improves the Chanticleers to 6-3 overall this season, and 5-0 on their home court.
 
Coastal opened the first match against Toledo by sweeping the doubles round. Luiz Faria and Lawrence Perrin won 6-1 at No. 2 before the first duo of Zak Talic and Joel Popov, and third duo of Pyry Hyrkkonen and Daiki Tanabe claimed matching 6-4 victories.
 
Faria (No. 1), Tanabe (No. 3) and Juan Castellanos (No. 6) all won their respective singles matches in straight sets.
 
Talic (No. 2), Gonzalo Achondo (No. 4) and Hyrkkonen (No. 5) completed the sweep with three-set wins.
 
The Chants switched around the lineup for the day's second match, though two of the doubles pairings remained the same.
 
Perrin/Faria and Hyrkkonen/Tanabe found themselves working together again, and each duo grabbed identical 6-4 wins on the first and second courts, respectively. Coastal's third pairing was made up of Francesco Cori and Juan Castellanos, though that match went unfinished once the point was won.
 
In singles, Talic was bumped up to No. 1 while Popov took the No. 2 spot. Achondo remained at No. 4. Perrin slotted in at No. 5 and Cori took over duties at No. 6.
 
All five of those Chants won their singles points in straight sets.
 
NCA&T's lone point came from Jorge Ivanov at No. 3.
 
Next up for Coastal is a neutral-site meeting with Ashland at the Grande Dunes Tennis Complex in Myrtle Beach, S.C. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
