The Chants are 12-1-1 this season in games which they post a "big inning" and have posted at least one "big inning" in all four of their last eight games.
  • Both teams enter play this weekend at 5-1 overall in Sun Belt play. The Chanticleers posted a three-game sweep of ULM (March 15-17) and then won two-of-three games over Troy at home last weekend (March 22-24). Arkansas State swept the same Troy Trojans in opening weekend (March 15-17) and then took two-of-three from South Alabama at home last weekend (March 22-24).
