PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team had its season come to an end Saturday afternoon as the Chanticleers suffered a 4-0 loss to No. 2 South Alabama in the semifinals of the 2019 Sun Belt Championship.
 
Coastal ends its season 16-8 overall. South Alabama advances to Sunday's championship match and will face No. 1 Georgia State.
 
The shortened match began later than originally scheduled, with the 3:00 p.m. match pushed back to 4:45 p.m. The match was also played outdoors, unlike Friday's quarterfinal matches that were forced indoors due to weather.
 
South Alabama claimed the doubles point with wins on the first and third courts.
 
Loic Chloes and Clement Marzol defeated Luiz Faria and Lawrence Perrin, 6-1, at No. 1, while Louis Delcour teamed with Maxime Lapraille at No. 3 to down Pyry Hyrkkonen and Daiki Tanabe, 6-2.
 
Delcour earned USA's first singles point with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Tanabe at No. 3. Marzol gave the Jags a 3-0 lead following a 6-3, 6-0 win against Hyrkkonen at No. 3. Cloes finished the match defeating Zak Talic 6-0, 7-6 at No. 2.
