Chanticleers In Action During Day One of Bill Carson Invitational

Bill Carson Invite Day 1 Results
GREENVILLE, N.C. – On Friday afternoon, the Coastal Carolina track and field team was in action on the first day of the Bill Carson Invitational on the campus of East Carolina University.
Men
In the javelin, junior Connor Langdon placed eighth and picked up two points for the men's team with a toss of 41.35 meters on his first throw of the day. Teammate Zahir Scott finished with a throw of 30.87 meters.
In the men's hammer throw, senior Kieran Moore picked up six team points with a fourth-place finish as he threw a distance of 49.29 meters on his fifth and sixth attempts of the day.
In the men's discus, freshman Ryan Wheaton picked up a tenth place finish for the Chanticleers as finished with a distance of 41.96 meters in his third attempt of the second flight
The aformentioned Scott also competed in the discus, finishing with the event with a distance of 25.57 meters.
Women
The women's javelin saw Chanticleer freshman Katie Bond add a tenth place finish with distance of 25.57 meters on her first attempt of three.
At the end of the day the CCU men have eight points while the women are still looking for their first points of the meet.
The team will back in action first thing on Saturday to wrap the weekend festivities in Greenville.
