Cross Country to Host Chanticleer Challenge on Friday

CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina University men and women's cross country teams are set to host the Chanticleer Challenge on Friday, September 18th. The women will run the 5k at 5:00 ET and the men will run the 8k at 5:45 ET.Â

Men's Notes
- Adam Groves won the Chanticleer Challenge men's 8k in 2025 with a time of 23:28.27, the fastest time ever in the event. Groves also won the title in 2024 with a time of 25:07.7.
- Owen Mullins was Coastal's top finisher in the Elon Opener in 14th-place with a time of 19:45.9 in the 6k.
- Olivia Fischlein finished sixth last year in the Chanticleer Challenge women's 5k with a time of 17:45.35.
- Megan Dolan led the Chants in the Elon Opener women's 4k with a 57th-place finish in 15:55.6.
