CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (35-19, 13-14 Sun Belt) celebrated Senior Day on Saturday afternoon at St. John Stadium with a 4-1 victory over the Appalachian State Mountaineers (31-22, 13-13 Sun Belt) as all four seniors contributed to the win.
 
In the bottom of the second, senior Alexis Alexis led off the inning with her sixth home run of the season and 25th of her career to put the Chants up 1-0.
 
The Coastal bats weren't finished in the second inning as sophomore Samantha Sack drew a one-out walk. Senior Chelsea D'Avilar reached first on a fielder's choice grounder to third baseman Keri White, but White's throw was low to second baseman Sydney Russell and allowed both runners to advance. Sophomore Stavi Augur made App State starter Kenzie Longanecker pay as she hit her ninth long ball of the season to give the Chants a 4-0 lead.
 
Senior Ashley Guillette got the nod for the regular season finale and didn't disappoint as she improved to 13-7 on the season with the win. The four-year starter held the Appalachian State bats in check all day as she surrendered just one run on a White solo home run in the top of the third. The Oxford, Ct., native went the distance and allowed five hits with six strikeouts.
 
Senior Natalie David extended her hitting streak to three games with a first-inning double.
 
The Mountaineer's Longanecker went the first two innings and took the loss as she dropped to 14-7 on the year. The senior gave up the four-second inning runs and allowed three hits for the game.
 
The Chanticleers will be the sixth seed as they head into next week's 2019 Sun Belt Conference Tournament in San Marcos, Texas. CCU will play the seventh seed Georgia Southern at 11:00 a.m. ET on May 8.
