Softball Adds Four to 2026 Fall Roster

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina softball head coach Kelley Green announced the addition of four transfers to the Chanticleers' 2026 fall roster on Thursday afternoon.
The Chants will welcome three transfer seniors in Emory Donaldson, Madison Primm and Reganne Bennett, along with transfer sophomore Maddie Cavenaugh.
"Our staff worked tirelessly to bring in a strong transfer class this summer," said Green. "They are going to love playing here, and Teal Nation is going to love watching them play the game with skill and passion."
Emory Donaldson
A Louisville, Ky., native, Donaldson joins the Chanticleers as a transfer from Kentucky. She appeared in 152 games during her collegiate career, recording 67 hits, 13 doubles, six triples, one home run, 56 runs scored and 28 RBIs. Donaldson also made a SportsCenter Top 10 play during Kentucky's 7-6 victory over Clemson.
Green on Donaldson: "We love Emory's defensive versatility, as she has experience playing multiple positions at a high level. Offensively, she brings power to all fields with an aggressive mindset on the bases."
Madison Primm
A transfer from Lenoir-Rhyne, Primm joins the Chanticleers after a decorated collegiate career. She posted a .365 career batting average across 172 games, recording 198 hits, 133 runs, 30 doubles, two triples, 45 home runs and 147 RBIs. Primm was a 2025 NFCA All-America Second Team selection and earned NFCA All-Southeast Region First Team honors in both 2025 and 2026. She was also named a 2025 CSC Academic All-American and earned All-SAC Second Team honors in both seasons. Primm also led the Florida Gulf Coast Collegiate League with a .528 batting average during her summer season.
Green on Primm: "Primm has the ability to hit for a high average with power. Defensively, she has shown a good glove and arm at third base."
Reganne Bennett
Bennett joins the Chanticleers after spending her freshman season at South Carolina and the following two seasons at Michigan. She appeared in 45 games during her collegiate career, recording 16 hits, four doubles, six runs, 17 RBIs and five home runs. In the circle, Bennett posted four wins with a 2.29 ERA, two complete games and 31 strikeouts.
Green on Bennett: "Reganne is a two-way player who will help us immediately in the circle and in the lineup. She's a high-velocity pitcher with big power in her bat."
Maddie Cavenaugh
A transfer from Slippery Rock, Cavenaugh joins the Chanticleers after a standout freshman season. She was a consensus Division II All-America honoree by the D2CCA and NFCA, a finalist for NFCA Division II Freshman of the Year and earned NFCA and D2CCA All-Atlantic Region honors. Cavenaugh was also named the D2CCA Atlantic Region Athlete of the Year, PSAC West Athlete of the Year and PSAC West Freshman of the Year, while earning First Team All-PSAC West honors and five PSAC West Athlete of the Week selections. She recorded 53 runs, 12 home runs and 48 RBIs during the season.
Green on Cavenaugh: "Maddie is a dynamic player who can do it all. Her combination of speed and power will fit nicely in our lineup."
