2019 Volleyball Signings: Lina Perugini

As the Coastal Carolina volleyball team nears the start of its 2019 preseason camp on Aug. 9, it will begin announcing members of this year's signing class. Be sure to check back to GoCCUsports.com each day as the newest Chanticleers are revealed.

Defensive Specialist

Bethlehem, Pa. – Liberty HS
 
Perugini totaled 1,407 digs over four years played at Liberty HS, averaging around 351 digs per season. She recorded her 1,000th career dig as a junior in 2017, and finished her high school career with a single-season high of 401 digs as a senior. She also tallied over 200 kills, 50 aces and 15 blocks in each season.
 
Perugini served as a captain at Liberty her sophomore through senior seasons, and racked up multiple honors in each of her four years. As a freshman, Perugini was named her team's Rookie of the Year and was voted to the All-Eastern Pennsylvania Conference (EPC) third team. She followed that with second-team EPC honors as a sophomore and first-team EPC honors as a junior and senior. Perugini was additionally a PIAA AAA First Team All-Star and District 11 First Team All-Star her junior and senior seasons.
 
Perugini played club volleyball for the Keystone Region Volleyball Association (KRVA). Her team were four-time regional winners as well as national bid qualifiers.
