Men's Soccer on the Road at Georgia State

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer program will end the regular season with consecutive road matches, the first of those will be Sunday, Nov. 1 when they face Georgia State in Atlanta at 1 p.m. ET.

The Chanticleers (4-0 / 4-0 SBC) have already wrapped up at least a tie for the regular-season conference title, but a win in Sunday's action will guarantee another regular-season Sun Belt title and the top seed in the upcoming Sun Belt Conference Championship.

Georgia State (7-2 / 2-2 SBC) and CCU were both picked to finish second in the preseason coaches' poll, but the Chants have moved into first place while the Panthers are two games back in the conference standings.

The Panthers come into the match as the Sun Belt's highest-scoring team. They are averaging 6.11 points per game after scoring 55 points in their nine outings and have three of the top-four scoring leaders in the conference.

Aris Briggs is the leader of that group, leading the Sun Belt in points with 13 on five goals and three assists and Matthew Fearnley is third with nine points.  Justin Guest is tied for fourth with six points.

GSU will have its' work cut out trying to get the ball into the net as CCU's defense has been superb this season. The Chants' defense has only given up three goals this season with Tor Saunders' work in the goal leading the team. He leads the Sun Belt in save percentage (.870) and saves per game (5.00). His 20 saves are second in the conference and he has two shutouts.

The two teams got together in Conway back on Oct. 10 to begin the season with the Chanticleers pulling out a 1-0 win. CCU outshot GSU 9-4, but Mael Couteau's goal on a Marcello Jones assist in the 80th minute proved to be the match-winner.
