CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer program will end the fall portion of the regular season with a road match at Georgia Southern set for Friday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. ET.
The Chanticleers (4-1 / 4-1 SBC) enter the contest having already assured themselves of a tie for the Sun Belt's regular-season championship, but a win would give the Chants the out-right title and the top-seed in next week's Sun Belt Conference Men's Soccer Championship tournament.
While Georgia Southern (1-7 / 0-5 SBC) has been down this season, the Chants expect a highly competitive contest. The two teams played in Conway back on Oct. 25 in a game that was not decided until a goal from CCU's
Ethan Hackenberg with less than a minute left in overtime gave CCU a 2-1 overtime win.
This is the 11th meeting between the two teams with the Chants holding a 6-3-1 lead in the series with CCU having won the past three meetings.
