CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina women's basketball returns home this week to host UNC Pembroke for two games with tip-off times set for 6 p.m. ET on Thursday, Dec. 10, and Friday, Dec. 11, at The HTC Center in Conway, S.C.
The Chanticleers (1-1) will be looking to bounce back after a road loss to then-No. 8 ranked NC State last Sunday.
Coastal is led by preseason All-Sun Belt selection
Aja Blount in both scoring at 15.0 points per game and rebounding at 8.5 rebounds per game. The junior from Portsmouth, Va., scored 13 points and pulled down a season and game-high nine rebounds against the Wolfpack.
Janeen Camp, a transfer from Towson, is averaging 10.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game coming off of the bench. Janeen's twin sister
Janae Camp has started each of the first two games for the Chants and is averaging 6.5 boards per game.
UNC Pembroke (0-1) opened the season this past week with a 77-51 road loss at Augusta. The Braves were led in the season opener by Tiara Williams' 14 points and five rebounds while Alcenia Purcell added 13 points.
