Chanticleers to Host Charleston Southern on Saturday

Coastal Carolina women’s tennis team seeks first win of the season at home
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team will host in-state foe Charleston Southern on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Stevens Tennis Complex on the campus of Coastal Carolina University. The first serve is scheduled for noon ET.
CCU enters the match with a 0-2 record while Charleston Southern is 3-3 on the year. Coastal and CSU have met a total of 34 times with the Chants holding a 22-12 advantage in the overall series. The Buccaneers have won four of the last five meetings, however, Coastalwon the last meeting 6-0 at home on March 30, 2016.
The Chanticleers dropped their last contest 4-3 on Feb. 12 on the road to the Campbell Camels. CCU went down 1-0 after dropping the doubles point and rebounded to win three of the six singles matches to nearly pull out the win. The Chants picked up wins on courts No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4.
Charleston Southern earned a 5-2 win over South Carolina State on Feb. 9. After clinching the doubles points, CSU picked up four wins in singles play and dropped just two matches. The Buccaneers garnered wins on courts No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4.
