CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse team will play its third-straight match on the road as the Chanticleers will take on Temple in Philadelphia, Pa. on Saturday, Feb. 22 with the opening draw scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
The Chanticleers enter the contest with a 2-0 record for the first time in four years after defeating former Big South foe Campbell 14-13 in their last outing on Feb. 12 in Buies Creek, N.C. The Temple Owls enter the match with a 1-3 overall record and riding a two-game losing streak after dropping their last outing to No. 6 Princeton 16-14 on Feb. 15.

Coastal is averaging 13.0 goals per game while allowing 10.5 goals per contest. Seniors
Samantha Courtemanche and
Lyla Robinson lead the Chants with 10 and eight points, respectively. Courtemanche has found the back of the net six times and assisted on four goals while Robinson has hit the net four times and tallied four assists. Sophomore
Megan Bozzi is third on the team in points with four goals and two assists for six points.
Defensively,
Abbey Buchanan and
Hannah Krin have caused four turnovers each while
Emily D'Orsaneo,
Regan McComb, and
Anya McSorley have grabbed five, four, and four ground balls, respectively.
ABOUT TEMPLE
Bridget Whitaker leads the Owls' offense with 11 points on seven goals and four assists while Jen Rodzewich (six goals and one assist) and Maddie Gebert (five goals and two assists) have added seven points each for 14 goals per game.
The defense is allowing 12.3 goals per contest with Courtney Taylor and Rodzewich causing six and five turnovers each, respectively. Taylor has scooped up eight ground balls while Belle Mastropietro has grabbed seven loose balls.
