CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina used a balanced offensive attack and a dominant first half to cruise to a 17-5 victory over Kennesaw State on Wednesday afternoon at Brooks Stadium.

Coastal Carolina (10-7, 3-5 Sun Belt) scored nine of the game's first 11 goals and never trailed after breaking a 1-1 tie midway through the opening quarter. The Chanticleers built a 9-2 halftime lead and extended the margin in the second half with efficient shooting and strong defense.

After Kennesaw State (8-9, 3-5 Sun Belt) evened the score at 1-1 early in the first quarter, Coastal responded with a 3-0 run, highlighted by back-to-back goals from Beaudet and Seven. The Chanticleers carried that momentum into the second quarter, scoring five times, including two goals in the final minute to take control at the break.

Coastal extended its lead in the third quarter with a 5-1 advantage, as goals from Kitchin, Alyson Mascolo, Beaudet and Laken Wright pushed the margin to 14-3. The Chanticleers added three more goals in the fourth, including a late man-up score from McKenna Eppers.
